The Eyes of Tammy Faye
In the battle between spirituality and money, the winner is obvious for materialism in Showalter's wonderfully garish true story regarding the shamed TV preacher plus her lawbreaking partner. It's a spectacle of bad interior design, overdone appearance and bad faith, though Jessica Chastain succeeds to show the character in a likable light. October 14th, late night, Film4
